GreenHouse Offers Energy Independence with Affordable, Renewable Fuel for Commuters and Commercial Fleets
GreenHouse Energy provides relief at the pump for Southern California drivers
Los Angeles (July 2, 2009) – As Southern Californians get ready to endure steep gas prices for the July 4th travel weekend, GreenHouse is preparing to offer drivers energy independence with the E-Fuel MicroFueler, a portable ethanol micro-refinery fuel system for consumer use.
According to the Automobile Association of Southern California, gas prices will continue to increase for the eighth-straight week and push the average price of gasoline in Southern California further beyond the $3-a-gallon threshold. In the coming weeks, GreenHouse will offer Los Angeles commuters and commercial fleets, Efuel100 for a fixed-price of $2.00 per gallon. GreenHouse will be the exclusive distributor of the E-Fuel MicroFueler in Southern California and Arizona.
“Using the E-Fuel distribution system, GreenHouse is dedicated to bringing an affordable, renewable fuel to drivers in Los Angeles, and throughout Southern California and Arizona, in order to offset fluctuating gas prices and create a cleaner environment for future generations to enjoy,” said Chris Ursitti, GreenHouse CEO.
Using state-of-the-art semiconductor technology, the appliance-sized MicroFueler units are pump-stations and ethanol distillers that can be installed at residences and businesses by the GreenHouse distribution team. Each MicroFueler requires three kilowatts of electricity to produce a gallon of Efuel100, and, in turn one gallon of Efuel100 will generate up to 23 kilowatts of energy.
Efuel100 is made up of 100% ethanol bio fuel and is safe for all vehicles made after 1991. The organic fuel is produced using carbohydrate waste products found abundantly in brewery waste, algae and cellulose (no corn or food-based products). Each vehicle must have an inexpensive conversion kit installed, enabling it to run on both ethanol and gasoline. The ethanol generated by the MicroFueler will play an integral role in reducing California greenhouse gas emissions, and provide a safe and affordable fuel option.
GreenHouse’s turnkey business model includes the set up, delivery and servicing of each MicroFueler unit at customers’ home or business. GreenHouse has already partnered with notable companies including Karl Strauss, Gordon Biersch and Sunny Delight, to convert 29,000 tons of liquid waste using the Efuel 100 Microfueler process.
“GreenHouse’s distribution system will create thousands of new jobs, spurring new growth in our economy. In addition, organic fuel will reduce our reliance on foreign petroleum without the complications to our food supply chain associated with ethanol produced from corn.” said Sean Entin, GreenHouse Chief Marketing Director.
GreenHouse was originally established in 2007 as a general contractor providing green building and remodeling services. The privately-owned company provides consumers effective home products that improve energy efficiency, reduce utility bills and improve the environment. San Diego-based GreenHouse is ushering in its next phase of growth by creating a scalable distribution model for E-Fuel’s MicroFueler.
On June 4, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger joined San Diego-based GreenHouse on the steps of the State Capitol as E-Fuel Corp. unveiled the final production model of the revolutionary E-Fuel MicroFueler. The State of California’s Department of General Services is exploring a pilot program to test the MicroFueler with its flex-fuel vehicles.
