Karen Hutchens

Karen Hutchens serves as GreenHouse’s public relations strategist, bringing her specialties of public affairs issues management, corporate communications, media relations and crisis communications. Her breadth of experience combines a powerful mix of entrepreneurialism with more than 25 years of experience as a communications professional with private, public and non-profit entities in the energy sector, including serving as a senior executive in a global Fortune 500 company.

Karen has helped launch major brands, has extensive experience in corporate mergers, acquisitions, high-level crisis situations and executive visibility programs, and has a well-honed familiarity with the green movement. She plays an active role in the San Diego community, serving on the board of directors of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, United Way of San Diego and the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way. Karen is a member of Rotary Club 33 and a graduate of LEAD, San Diego, and she’s included in Who’s Who of American Women.
